From the full-house creative agency of Art Personas, ARIN was born in 2014 as the first in-house fashion brand of he company. “ARIN” takes roof from the name of Art Personas’ CEO, Ronnie Cruz’s daughter, Arin Mikaela Cruz. The brand was conceptualized by the creative agency’s CEO and developed by Jennifer Contreras, Art Personas’ in-house fashion designer.
The first show of the brand was held at Manila Fashion Festival Spring / Summer 2015 last November 2014 which catered a 30-look Fall / Winter collection, building its name in the Philippine fashion industry. The inspiration for the first collection was Nine Inch Nails’ music video for their song, Closer.
After 2 seasons of Manila Fashion Festival, Arin shifter from its usual grunge/post-punk aesthetic and opted for more mature, sophisticated aesthetics. The recent collection “Fury” inspired by the movie “Mad Max” was made available at Zalora.ph, exposing the brand to various markets and increase sell out.
ARIN’s strategy is to focus on the development of the brand image and the resurgence of its rock and roll aesthetics fused with sophistication in the offing collections. The brans if also planning on developing a fashion line for youngsters, “Little Miss A”.
